Works in the field of functional neuroanatomy and cortical plasticity in connection with learning.

Lutz Jäncke has written over 350 scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals. He is the author and editor of several books, and his scientific papers are among the 1% of the most frequently cited works worldwide. A special focus of his research is the study of the neural basis of music processing. In 2007 he received the Credit Swiss Teaching Award for Best Teaching at the University of Zurich. In 2006 and 2008, he received the Golden Owl of the ETH Zurich student body for excellent teaching.
