Internationally influential authority in the academic tradition of the Austrian School of Economics.

Kurt R. Leube is Professor Emeritus for Economics and Research Fellow at the Hoover Institution, Stanford University, USA. As one of the closest pupils and long-time collaborator of Friedrich A. von Hayek (Nobel Prize 1974), Leube is considered an influential authority in the academic tradition of the Austrian School of Economics. He specializes in economic theory, legal philosophy, and the history of ideas. Since 2006 he has also been Academic Director of the “European Center of Austrian Economics”, a leading European think tank based in Vaduz.
