Purpose

Teaches basic theoretical questions in psychology and cognitive science, and leads research on terminal lucidity and existential cognition.

Is director and professor of the Research Institute for Theoretical Psychology and Personalist Studies at the Pázmány University in Budapest and since 2012 visiting professor for existential psychotherapy and psychology at the University Institute for Psychoanalysis in Moscow. He heads the Viktor Frankl Institute in Vienna. Batthyány is the author of numerous publications that have been translated into 12 languages.
